Scarbee is a Danish virtual instruments company founded in 1999 by bassist and producer Thomas Hansen Skarbye. The company specializes in deeply sampled software instruments for Kontakt, with a catalog focused on electric basses and vintage keyboards. Early bass titles such as the J-Slap and J-Fingered helped establish Scarbee's reputation for capturing the articulation and dynamics of real players, with subsequent releases expanding the approach to a wide range of instruments.
