Schafer & Sons was a piano brand established in 1955 by Vern Schafer in Colton, California. Rather than operating its own manufacturing plant, the company functioned primarily as a brand and distributor, contracting production to established piano makers. The initial run of 100 pianos was built by the Currier Piano Company, and over the decades instruments bearing the Schafer & Sons name were produced by a rotating list of manufacturers including Kohler & Campbell, Aeolian, Schimmel, Story & Clark, Kimball, and Wurlitzer.

The company's catalog centered on console, studio, and upright pianos in heights ranging from 37" to 52", along with grand and baby grand pianos up to 6'9". Common models included the SS-58, SS-51, and VS-48. A notable line from the 1970s was the Schafer & Sons "Classic" Console. In 1974 the brand entered a long-running partnership with Samick Pianos of Korea, which ran until 1989; from 1990 through 2005, production shifted to Young Chang.

Schafer & Sons instruments are generally regarded as mid-tier home and studio pianos, with used examples still circulating through dealers and on the secondhand market. The brand ceased operations in 2016, and surviving pianos are typically evaluated based on which manufacturer produced a given serial number.
