Shamray is a Moscow-based custom guitar workshop founded in 1998 by luthier Alexander (Alex) Shamray. Starting as a small shop focused on repair, restoration, and modernization of electric instruments, it grew into one of the largest hand-made electric guitar and bass manufacturers in Russia, with instruments shipped to musicians across Europe, North America, and Asia.

The Shamray Custom Shop builds bolt-on, set-neck, and neck-through electric guitars and basses, and has produced unusual builds including 12-string basses such as a Rickenbacker 4003-inspired model and a fully hollow body bass inspired by the Soviet-era Roden bass. The operation also encompasses repair centers in Moscow and the affiliated Shamray Shop and Guitar Planet retail brands.

The shop drew international attention in 2017 when it built a custom travel guitar for Steve Vai, nicknamed "Little Fish," which Vai later sold at a Julien's Auctions sale in 2022.

Shamray has 1 product cataloged on Equipboard, including Solid Body Electric Guitars.
