SIM1 is an Italian music technology company based in Forlì that develops guitar tone modeling hardware and software built around its patented Smart Tone Shaping (STS) technology. The platform analyzes the player's instrument through a chromatic scale calibration and then "imprints" the response of other guitars onto it, aiming to reproduce different pickups, body resonances, and acoustic profiles in real time without the latency typically associated with digital modeling.

The company's product line centers on the XT-1 guitar tone imprinter, which combines the STS engine with built-in amp models inspired by classics like the Marshall JCM800, Vox AC30, and Fender Twin Reverb, plus a Tube Screamer-style overdrive.
