SIM1 is an Italian music technology company based in Forlì that develops guitar tone modeling hardware and software built around its patented Smart Tone Shaping (STS) technology. The platform analyzes the player's instrument through a chromatic scale calibration and then "imprints" the response of other guitars onto it, aiming to reproduce different pickups, body resonances, and acoustic profiles in real time without the latency typically associated with digital modeling.

The company's product line centers on the XT-1 guitar tone imprinter, which combines the STS engine with built-in amp models inspired by classics like the Marshall JCM800, Vox AC30, and Fender Twin Reverb, plus a Tube Screamer-style overdrive. The XT+ extends the concept to both guitar and bass, the XT-B targets bassists specifically, and the XG-900 is a fully built electric guitar designed around the imprinting workflow. SIM1 also distributes a companion XT-App for Mac and Windows for managing and editing profiles.

The XT-1 won a Best in Show award at NAMM 2018 and helped establish SIM1's niche among players looking to access a wide palette of instrument tones from a single guitar. Demo and endorsement coverage has come from artists including Scott Henderson and Italian guitarists Massimo Varini, Fabrizio Guardino, and Andrea Pistilli.

SIM1 has 2 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Amp & Cabinet Simulators and Bass Effects Pedals.
