Sitori Sonics is a boutique guitar effects pedal builder based in Birmingham, Alabama, founded by Emanual Ellinas. The operation began in the late 1990s as a drum-making venture while Ellinas was living in Humboldt County, California, building ashiko hand drums; the name comes from Ellinas' dog, Sitori. Ellinas later expanded into scratch-built, hand-wired guitar pedals featuring true bypass circuitry, designing and assembling each unit himself alongside running the Feedback Music shop.
The lineup is known for whimsically named, small-batch pedals including the Bass Fuzz, Sitori Drive, Doob Dreamer, Tidal Phase, Reel Repeat, Brownies & Cream distortion, Harem Fuzz, and Tapeworm delay. The pedals gained a cult following after members of Sonic Youth publicly mentioned using them, with reported users including Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, The White Stripes, St. Vincent (Annie Clark), and Mogwai. The brand has since become difficult to find new and circulates primarily on the secondhand market.
Sitori Sonics has 2 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Delay Effects Pedals. Their gear is featured by 3 artists, with the strongest followings in Rock, Folk, World, & Country, and Electronic. Notable users include Dan Auerbach, St. Vincent, and Denver Dalley.
