Skylife is a German music software company based in Potsdam-Babelsberg, founded by Christian Halten. The company specializes in automated sampling technology through its flagship product line, SampleRobot, which captures sounds from hardware synthesizers, acoustic instruments, and software plugins, then converts them into ready-to-play multisample instrument libraries. The software automates what is traditionally a painstaking manual process — recording individual notes at multiple velocity layers, finding loop points, and exporting in standard sampler formats.

SampleRobot won the Innovation Award from Germany's KEYS magazine in 2006, beating out products from Native Instruments, Korg, and Access. The product line includes SampleRobot Pro (the full-featured edition), SampleRobot Multi-X (a mid-tier version), and SampleRobot Korg+Wave (an entry-level option). Skylife has also partnered with Yamaha to release SampleRobot Montage, a dedicated edition for Yamaha Montage and MODX synthesizer owners that creates playable performances directly on the instrument.
