Soundscan is a sample library series produced by Ultimate Sound Bank (USB), the French sound design company founded by Univers Sons that later evolved into UVI. The Soundscan line consisted of a catalog of sample CDs spanning dozens of volumes and styles, including titles such as Dance and Groove Drums, Acoustic Percussions, Hip Hop and R'n'B, and Balkanish Traditions. Volumes were released in formats compatible with Akai S1000/S3000 samplers, as well as AIFF and WAV for computer-based DAWs.

Each Soundscan volume typically contained several hundred samples organized as loops, single shots, and multi-sample kits, covering genres from house, techno, and jungle to world music and acoustic instrumentation. The series became a reference for producers working with hardware samplers during the late 1990s and early 2000s sampling era, and many titles were later repackaged for digital distribution alongside USB's broader catalog.

Ultimate Sound Bank operated under the parent company Univers Sons and subsequently transitioned its sound development work to UVI, the Paris-based developer of virtual instruments and the UVI Workstation engine.
