Sticky Sounds is a portable audio brand built around a single-purpose product: a rugged, water-resistant Bluetooth speaker designed to attach to almost anything via the universal GoPro mounting system. The compact, low-profile speaker uses a polycarbonate-ABS shell, an integrated GoPro mount, an 8-hour battery, and a microSD card slot in addition to wireless playback, with the goal of letting users clip audio onto helmets, longboards, backpacks, handlebars, and other action-sports gear.
The company was founded in Orem, Utah by London Lazerson and Bracken Mudrow, who developed the first-generation product after seeing snowboarders and skaters tape consumer speakers to their equipment. Sticky Sounds reached production through a Kickstarter campaign and an early hand-assembly run, with manufacturing handled out of Springville, Utah. The brand sits in the adventure- and lifestyle-oriented corner of the portable speaker market rather than the studio or stage gear category, and its audience skews toward action-sports and outdoor users rather than traditional musicians.
