Sweet Sound Electronics is a boutique guitar effects pedal company founded by Bob Sweet, who built effects professionally in the Detroit, Michigan area from 1975 to 1985, creating analog delays, distortions, chorus units, and flangers for local music stores. After years of searching for an authentic recreation of the classic Unicord Uni-Vibe sound, Sweet developed his own version, which became the foundation of the company's reputation. By the 1990s, Sweet Sound had grown from a local operation to an internationally recognized name in the effects pedal world.

The company is best known for its line of Uni-Vibe style pedals. The Ultra Vibe, praised by Guitar Player magazine in 1996 as having "the roundest sounding" tone with "an even pulse and smooth, creamy voice," established Sweet Sound as a leading builder of vibe effects. The more compact Mojo Vibe delivers the same swirling modulation in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure with true bypass and expression pedal input, while the MoFaux Vibe offers the core Uni-Vibe sound in a smaller, more affordable format. Beyond vibes, Sweet Sound also produces the Pi Face fuzz and the Pro Bender Mrk II, a Tonebender-style fuzz built with factory-matched OC-81 germanium transistors.

Bob Sweet passed away in October 2008, and his family continued building his pedal designs with assistance from colleagues in the effects community. Sweet Sound pedals have been distributed primarily through Analog Man, one of the most respected names in boutique effects retail.
