Trickfish Amplification is a bass gear manufacturer based in Cypress, Texas, founded in 2014 by Richard Ruse, a veteran bassist and product designer with over 25 years of experience at SWR Engineering, KRK Systems, and JBL Professional. Ruse partnered with Mike Pope — a jazz bassist, composer, and electronics designer known for his onboard preamp work with Fodera Guitars and his tenure in Chick Corea's Elektric Band — along with engineer David Yates, who holds over 200 U.S. patents. Ryan Owens later joined as a part-owner. After Ruse's passing in 2017, Owens and Yates continued the company's mission of building bass amplification that prioritizes musicality and tonal transparency.

The company's flagship product line is the Bullhead series of bass amplifier heads, which ranges from the compact Bullhead Mini 500 to the Bullhead 3K, a dual-channel design featuring two independent 1500-watt power sections. Trickfish also produces the L-Series speaker cabinets (available in 1x12, 1x15, and 4x10 configurations), a range of effect pedals including the Trilobite dual-channel bass preamp and a VCA compressor, and a line of bass pickups in single-coil, split-coil, and dual-coil configurations. The related Flex Core Preamps brand, developed by Pope and Yates, offers onboard bass preamp systems. All products are designed and built in the USA.
