Westfield is a British guitar brand established in 1989 in Scotland by Paul Howard, originally operating under P&R Howard Music Ltd. The company built its reputation producing affordable electric, acoustic, classical, and bass guitars — often copies of popular Fender and Gibson designs — aimed at entry-level players. At its peak, it was one of the largest musical instrument distributors in Scotland, operating out of East Kilbride.
After the original company wound down in 2013, the Westfield name was acquired and relaunched in 2022 by Rotosound, the long-running Kent-based string manufacturer. The revived catalog focuses on acoustic instruments, organized into the Performer Series and Artist Series across body styles including Parlour, Folk, Dreadnought, Grand Auditorium, Thinline Folk, and Thinline Classical.
Westfield instruments have appeared in the hands of a handful of notable players over the years. Amy Winehouse famously wrote her song 'Cherry' (from her debut album Frank) about her Westfield TF656 acoustic. Danny Jones of McFly and Jason Mraz have also been associated with the brand.
Westfield has 2 products cataloged on Equipboard, including Electric Basses and Solid Body Electric Guitars.
