Great Interface

Everything an audio interface intended for the home studio should be and more. I personally really love the zero latency monitoring and the ability to craft complex monitor mixes with it's amazing yet a bit complicated at first glance Mix control software. Only things about this that left me wanting more out of it are the preamps. They're clean but they're a bit dry if I'm being honest. Also the gain staging on the preamps themselves is bit dodgy. I felt like the preamps were gain curved as opposed to a typical linear gain step. Other than that I love this thing!

The Reason Why I Fell In Love With Reverb

When someone asks me what reverb they should get, not matter if they're a new producer or someone who's been doing this for a long time, I will always recommend this. I own a plethora of other reverb plugins. I have the Reflektor, the Waves IR1, the Waves TrueVerb, the UAD Lexicon 224, and the UAD AMS RMX16. A majority of those reverbs cost hundreds of dollars, however this $50 plugin just continues to make me smile every time I load it up. This is always the first reverb I use in a project. For just about everything. Sometimes I take a break to use the RMX16 but this is the one for me.

10/10 Would Recommend

I have been a music producer for several years now and this is a modern classic. It may not be the prettiest looking piece of software, but it won't let you down. It has all the rich goodness and sparkle of an old Moog with the ability to create complex tones that can only be limited to a digital domain.

The Rolls Royce of the Home Studio Audio Interface

This is a game changer. The immense amount of technology that has been put into this interface is ground breaking. The concept of a Unison preamp which models famous vintage preamp circuits to a T that you can record onto your tracks is something that you just have to use to understand how incredible it is. I recorded a track in what used to be a storage room in my house yesterday that sounded like a Led Zeppelin acoustic track. To say the least, it leaves me speechless. The unison technology alone barely scratches the surface of the vast creative possibilities of this interface. However there is one downside: the fact that it eats up DSP power, I recommend investing in at least one extra quad core satellite.

Great Software

As a music producer I recommend this DAW to everyone that wants to make great music. This software has hands down, the best sounding plugins of any DAW. There are however a few issues with the software... When projects get intense (60 tracks or more) things begin to get a bit buggy. It will sometimes crash and CPU is very jumpy from time to time. Also this is a really unattractive DAW. It's not an important complaint but I really believe that I work better when the software that I'm using is attractive.

Simple and Effective

I can't describe how much I love this plugin. It's perfect for those who aren't the most skilled engineers and for the pros. It's versatile, simple, and most importantly it sounds amazing. CLA is one of today's great engineers and his sonic characteristics really show on this plugin.

Close to the Real Unit But Still Unique

As an owner of a real 1176LN I can attest to how close these waves plugins get to the real thing. It is really a great substitute when I'm already using the 1176. However this plugin has it's own sound as well. Which is part of the reason why I really like it.

Favorite Delay Plugin

I am no stranger to analog gear and the way it sounds compared to it's digital counterparts. However I also see the advantages of having a plugin delay. This is the perfect marriage of the two worlds. I love this delay on everything and it can do some really cool stuff.

Classic

This unit is a timeless piece of gear that will sound good on just about anything you run through it. I have yet to find something that I don't like on it.

Fantastic

This is a workhorse mic and I really love how it sounds on acoustic guitars, female vocals, and drum overheads. I combine this with a UA-610 mic pre and it has a silkyness to it that is reminiscent of Frank Sinatra.

similar capsule to the recordings of Frank with a U47 and U67... not the same as the Tele ELAM251 they put in front of him and way different than his earliest work when all that was available n the USA were ribbon mics, usualy RCAs... but you can't go wrong with any Neumann's, they come in different flavors but are al tasty

Amen to that!
