Amazing Low-End DJ System!
I just moved up from a Hercules Instinct, so this is a MAJOR upgrade for me, and boy am I loving both the hardware and the software! It matches up the beats perfectly nearly every time, and makes DJ-ing fun and engaging for me again. It connects with a USB cord, and you can output the sound straight to your computer, so you can practice over your computer speakers or headphones. Great product, would recommend for DJs starting out!

This Think is Pretty Awesome
I have to say, coming from a great set of studio monitors, I still find this an incredibly useful piece of hardware! I can more reliably monitor the low end of my mix, and be sure that it will sound good on most any system. Because I make heavy bass music, I need this thing to work reliably with good tested results. And so far, it has! I wouldn't say it is as powerful as most people claim it to be (hence the four star review) but it is almost a necessity if you are a headphone producer or producer-on-the-go. While it may be pricey for some, others will see the great value that this product has.

Excellent For Crowded Spaces
My setup is pretty packed, and my full-size keyboard left little room for me to move a traditional mouse around. To remedy this situation, I decided to pick up this wireless trackball mouse from Logitech. I had never use a trackball before I got this mouse, so I was unsure of how I would be able to accurately use it. To my own surprise, I was able to use it masterfully fairly quickly, and it felt very natural after a bit of using it. I have no strain on my wrist like a used to have with a normal mouse, because all cursor movement is directed with your thumb, and nothing else. You would have to show me one incredible mouse to get me to trade this one up!

Great for Vocals
All of the songs I have produced in the past year that included vocals were recorded on this little guy, who delivers exceptional sound for it being a USB microphone! I used the Blue Yeti for a while (before an issue with internal wiring caused me to stop using it) and I missed the high quality sound I got with it. I feel like for the price, the Snowball is a much better value and singers and musicians starting off should really consider it.

I hve really gotten into ISB mics for making field recordings to sample, even if the 'field' is only as far as my kitchen.... I used to use an old portable Roland sampler and then for awhile upgraded to one of their Boss Dr Samples, and recently borrowed a friend's Tascam handheld stereo recorder (but didn't love it) but you might as well just pop your laptop open and set up a plug n play microphone in a lot of situations... at this pint I have an adapter cable for my phone in case I want to go wandering around micin hand to capture some unique samples

oh, and is the snowball a condenser or dynamic? it seems like no one makes a USB dynamic

@jimmarchi1 It is a condenser microphone, however, it has three settings: Cardioid, Padded Cardioid, and Omni-directional. I haven't actually tried to record samples using this (pots, pans, etc), but I think you would end up pretty pleased with the results!

How Are These So Cheap?!
I picked up a pair of these bad boys when they were under $250.00. And I'm not sure why the hell JBL is selling them for that much.
I was looking at Rokit and Yamaha as the company I would buy my first set of studio monitors from, but out of the darkness (in my Amazon requested list) these presented themselves to me. I was skeptical at first, because they were about fifty dollars cheaper than the Rokits (which I heard conflicting reviews about), leading me to believe that I should stick to something else. But I am so glad that I picked these up. The frequency response is so good that most of the time, I don't even use another sound system to check my mixes (although you really should all of the time) largely because I trust these things to faithfully produce completely flat sound 100% of the time.
I've seen complaints from people about how these are not great if you just want to listen to music, but I would like to HEAVILY disagree. It is a joy to listen to dubstep, electro and other forms of EDM off of these speakers, and the bass response is surprisingly good. Most of my subbass can be monitored with them.
If you are looking for your first pair of studio monitors, these may be it!

Second Best Synth on the Market
I have been wooed by Serum from xFer, due to its high quality sound and ease of use. But the CPU load it puts on my PC is NOT cool, so I still find myself using Massive as my main plugin for things like chords, leads, plucks and simple basses.

My Go-To Synthesizer for Dubstep
Massive from Native Instruments is a fantastic synthesizer that I used religiously when making dubstep and electro. Well, before I got a hold of Serum.
Serum is hands down the best synthesizer I have personally ever used, with the ability to import custom wavetables as the key to its success. Its built in effects (especially the hyper function) eliminate the need to go into my mixer and assign a large amount of plugins to get the type of sound I'm looking for. Things like the ability to modulate bend -/+ and the visualization of filters just helps to make this synth easy to pick up and start making amazing custom sounds quickly.
