Best buy everrrr
8GB Ram, 500gb HDD , i5 macbook pro 2012 13 inch.
Being raised a Windows freak for more or less 18 years of my life, I bought a Macbook for my music degree.
It has only 'properly' crashed three times in four years (aka it restarting for absolutely no reason) but apart from that I've never had a single problem with it.
Overpriced, yes. Worth it? Deffo. And connected to my 32 inch monitor it is basically like having a desktop.

I wish it was a bit more obvious
Bought this instead of a playstation when I was 15 because I saw Chemical Brothers mention it in their webpage for their 'Push the Button' album.
I used it a bit here and there but it never seemed to make sense due to its non obvious menus which you basically need a degree in to understand, or at least 2 weeks of reading manuals.
Also, synchronizing the midi to Ableton took like 3 days.
Its an old piece of kit so its obvious it won't be digitised as well as other newer MPC's but I've only ever used this to make beats on the spot rather than create loops as I know is possible if you are some kind of genius.

Great hardware synth, knobs a tiny bit flimsy
Bought this two years ago as I wanted to make my way into the hardware synth world. Love it except for not being able to save presets but that is included in the fact its analogue so no complaint there.
Only complaint is the knobs are bit flimsy so its difficult to keep both VCO's at the same pitch without having a slight detune (not impossible, just not easy)
Would recommend it as you can get amazing sounds out of it, but I think I would have rather gone for something which could just save presets now .

Works with my 2005 windows PC but not with my Macbook.
Used to use it a lot back in the days of rock and roll production, but once I bought a macbook it stopped working with macbook, and they stopped releasing drivers for it so I essentially have an extremely expensive piece of equipment which no one wants, not even myself.

Good initial monitors, lack flat response but can be worked around to get a very solid mix
Got these as my first pair of monitors. Seem to be great monitors but a bit bass heavy. You can get solid mixes once you know your way round the monitor! It can be extreeemely loud and bass-y so I had to move down to KRK 5's in order to not get kicked out of my house.
