The original developer of JUCE, Jules Storer, did a fantastic job with it, no question. He really thought through everything astonishingly thoroughly and build an incredibly powerful library.

Yes, we are using JUCE, albeit heavily modified in places to fix some critical bugs in that framework

Ah, I had looked for "synthesizer" so didn't find it because it is misspelled in the link

All three of those are correct. It’s known as the 8-voice. Schmidt is the designer, EMC is the distributor

Please add https://www.schmidt-synthesizer.com/ as the Schmidt 8-voice is not available through outlets such as Sweetwater, Guitar Center, etc

My muse receptor is hopelessly obsolete and muse research is out of business

So I'm one of the developers of Gig Performer --- I did own two Muse Receptors back in the day - it was a rather clever idea but stymied by issues around VST licensing protection that made it very difficult to install many plugins.

Interestingly, we've seen quite a few ex-Receptor users join the GP ranks over the last few years.
