There appears to be no difference in these. The original appears under the akaipro.com site: https://www.akaipro.com/mpd24 and on the controller there appears to be some small writing with the world "professional" under the word AKAI although no-one seems to refer to the word "professional" in the name - e.g. Sound-On-Sound article here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/akai-mpd24

There is an overlap where it is claimed that an artists has both the 'Akai MPD 24' and the 'Akai Professional MPD24 USB MIDI Pad Controller'. In this case the artist is Nicolas Jaar and it appears that a moderator needs to remove the duplicate to allow the merge to take place.
