How to Kirk Hammett

If you wanna Kirk Hammett, this is how you do it. Love the tone on the Vox wah over the Crybaby and Morley

On the most recent album he used this one in conjunction with 2 Dunlop KH Signature Wahs.

My first archtop

Sweet, mellow archtop, gets a gorgeous acoustic tone

Back up for live

Great build quality for the body and neck, the electronics were uppgraded. Handles a baritone tuning really well with the 25" scale neck

Great build quality and playability

I have the full mahogany model with dimarzios, my favorite neck profile

I always wanted on of these for the outrageous shape

erik_oldman

its an acquired taste. I use this mainly as studio guitar, fantastic SG/Firebird type tone

My Main Guitar

Shred machine, love the neck, love the fretboard

Versatile semi-hollow

Great neck, great pickups, I love the coil splitting functions to get more soapbari-ish tones

Versatile multi-effects and midi controller

This is the nerve center of my rig. Not only does it handle all of my digital effect compositions, but it is a great midi controller to switch between my amp channels.

I ahd one and of these but given that the drives aren't stereo I abandoned ship... still a great unit that can be a great midi controller for other effects... I gotta say that the nova drive schools the drive section on the nova system, way more versatile even though the topology is very similar.... I miss the detune effect a lot though, it was a greats tereo thickening 'un-chorus' for my 2 amp rig

I dont use the drive at all. I run this in my effects loop and as my midi controller. For the money its hard to beat, and you get the great TC delays, reverbs and modulation effects.

so you're doing like a 4 cable method to the floor?

erik_oldman

nope, its just in my loop. the stuff I want to load in from my input is a seperate signal path

Classic overdrive, gold standard.

I've owned one for the 25+ years I've played. Use it for pushing a gain channel, a lead boost, and also adding a bit of dirt to a clean channel.
