yup, after after 72 the twin (as well as many other fender models) went downhill... how much cleaner can a twin be? ask CBS! While a drip edge silverface is 95% blackface, your is still pretty durned close.... it might have some snubber caps choking the tone in the power section, otherwise I expect she's a blackface thru and thru unless she has the unfortunate ultrilinear output transformer (not sure when that came in, I used to think with the master volume but I have seen ultralinear twins without masters now)

Found it in a music shop in Alabama, played it, and was in love with the tone. I have had a few modeling amps in the past with "twin" settings on them but wow. You can't compare that to actual vintage tone
