DW 5002 have been a go-to-pedal. I used it on 3 bands I used to play with. You can loosen it up a bit to get those fast fills or tighten it to get really good attack. Change the distance between the head and the beater if you want. You can adjust footboard angle. You can really make this pedal work for you and that in itself is something worth buying.
I only started playing with 7a sticks years ago. As time goes by I needed the weight and feel of the sticks and got myself a 5A. Now I'm only using Super 5B because they're just made for hard hitters whether you're in the studio or performing live. Great product!
