samples packs for EDM music.

I have one quesion to people who interested in DJing or music production. Where u buy or download samples packs for EDM music? I found some sites with packs in google : www.lucidsamples.com/65-edm-samples-packs www.loopmasters.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=edm These sites have some good samples packs . But i need more samples packs.MAybe someone know good palaces with EDM samples packs?

my god, there are so many-

Sample Magic Drums From Mars DJ AfroMac Vespers

that's off the top of my head & I'm not really even into it. It's a flooded market.

another place is Legowelt's page (google it, easy to find)

he make TONS of sample libraries of rare/overlooked synths, etc. & it's all free!

  1. Zaq, I was unaware that elgowelt had all those, cool! totally just DLed them all. Like much of the stuff I download I probanly won't sue it in anything I play for people, but still, super cool.

  2. OP, apart from aquiring free samples form the web that you will manipulate in the hopes that you can make them sound original, why not get a mic hooked to your phone or score a second hand personal recorder like a Zoom or Tascam or evne just go grab a Boss Dr Sample and start making your own samples. You can just walk into any garage, garden shed, attic or absement and start creating amazing percussion samples by hitting and shaking all the stuff in the room, einsturzende neubauten style... got a cheap old radioshack contact mic? stick that directly on anything you plan to hit and sample that, it'll be different than putting up a 57 or a condenser, much different, mmore like running a drum machine direct into your mixer. Go crazy doing that stuff for starters... build up tons of percussion. It may not seem useful at first, but if you know what you're doing you'll get a lot of cool stuff out of it in addition to more conventional dance music sounds... be careful though, a little clanging metal goes a long way!

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard

Thanks for advice

Yeah man, the Legowelt stuff might be some of the only DL'ed samples i ever use.

I end up working 5 times longer trying to make anything else I download sound like my own. I can do way more with a fart into my iPhone mic & faster.

In fairness tho I'm no sample flipping master. I usually like to retain the essence on a sample. Not into making a whole track outta a lil' clip of someone opening a door. I can, but I think beyond trippy cool concepts & experiments (and the crazy advanced peeps out there) I just start to wonder why I'm bothering. Why not try and make it on my own...anyhoo...

Enjoy them Legowelt samples!

I do have a few pages open with good stuff I've yet to DL (mainly for the afor mentioned reasons) & I'll post them tonight after tracking. Doing gang vox today & I gotta go grab another set of headphones. Ugg. Not how I imagined spending my Cyber Monday cash...

Here's the rest of those free sample links I mentioned:

https://www.conversesamplelibrary.com

There's just a butt ton of stuff between all these links-

Enjoy!

Try https://www.loopmasters.com/. They're one of the most popular sites for samples & loops. Pretty enormous catalogue categorized a million different ways.

To be fair tho-Loopmasters dominated 2017. If I remember correctly they had the top 2 highest selling packs of the year. I hear it everywhere-the "future" series in particular- from Soundcloud bedroom producers to Kendrick Lamar, etc.

So I just guessed maybe "free" was gonna figure in a bunch since it seems Loopmasters has just about every other base covered.

The OP might also wanna check out the free app "Who Sampled"

Works just like Shazam but lists all samples & their sources or you can just search any song.

Also works in reverse- say if you wanted to know everyone who has sampled a particular Diana Ross cut, etc.

Cymatics samples are okay.
