Your favorite Djs/producer
I don't care if they're old (Frankie Knuckles, 808 State, The Chemical Brothers) or new (Skrillex, Diplo, Deadmau5, Tiësto). Just tell me who they are and why they are your favorite.
It's really hard to say. I'm mostly into edm so they'll probably be from that genre. If it really comes down to a choice, overall I'd say my favourite djs/producers would be Martin Garrix and Axwell & Ingrosso. It's just that for his age Martin Garrix has already come very far and Axwell & Ingrosso are former SHM so it goes without saying that their sets have a certain flair and energy not found in others'. My best dj sets from 2015 would be Martin Garrix UMF Miami and Axwell Ingrosso Tomorrowland Belgium. Both impressive. In terms of technical skill though, I'd have to say that in my opinion Dannic and Afrojack are also worth watching and learning from.
This is the shortest list I could make. Right now these are the people who are influencing me the most and are still active, which means they're still producing and DJing/making shows:
Shapeless (Techno-house "low-bpm", brazilian duo) https://soundcloud.com/shapeless-live Neelix (Psy-trance, from Germany) https://soundcloud.com/neelix AC Slater (Techno House, L.A.) https://soundcloud.com/acslater Nora En Pure (Nu Disco/Deep House, Switzerland/South Africa) https://soundcloud.com/noraenpure Flume (Downtempo/Trip-hop, Australia) https://soundcloud.com/flume Grimes (Pop, Canada) https://play.spotify.com/album/5hB4jVN4ZHpubyiMmW81K1?play=true&utm_source=open.spotify.com&utm_medium=open
I'm most into playing Techno House in parties so, to be honest, Neelix, Flume and Grimes probably do not influence my mixing style that much. Still, I needed to list them here because they're incredibly talented.
Martin garrix Nicky Romero
Personally, as a 17 year old, I've listened to many things that have differed from the mainstream (that doesn't mean that I don't also listen to the mainstream lol). I was huge into VGM when I was younger, so I find myself listening to the OST from games like Sega GT 2002, Jet Set Radio Future (personal favorite), and many other Sega titles as well as Namco ones (Ridge Racer and Tekken specifically). Having said that, electronic musicians like Ayako Saso, Hideki Naganuma, DJ Sasha, Nobuyoshi Sano and many others have inspired me quite much.
I also really like BT's music. I took a listen to Flamming June (the original), and I was blown away. It was the most amazing experience, and the song itself is just pure beauty in my eyes. µ-ziq is also a really cool artist. I really liked his Hasty Boom Alert. Other artists include Au5, Fractal, Volant, Skrillex, eoslinz, deadmau5, The Cars, Overseer, Cirrus, and etc. I like so many artists XD
