This is a good set of orchestral samples pulled from the Roland JV1080, but they will require some EQing to get a brighter sound. Great for starters, but when compared to East West and Kontakt libraries, it is lacking in quality and realism.

This may not be as high tech or advanced as other sound cards out there, but it's the perfect card for starts. It comes with 2 XLR ports and 48V Phantom Power, along with headphone and studio monitor support. Great if you're just starting, but if you're looking for something more expansive, this may not be the best choice.

This plugin is excellent for easily creating sound effects with just the click of a button. The presets it contains already demonstrate the power of this VST, and I'm sure you could go much farther. Has been very useful to me in creating unique pad synths and decimation chords, along with various other uses. It does have a huge interface though, which can present a problem when you running on a low resolution monitor (my monitor is 1680x1050 and it's takes up nearly the whole screen height-wise).

I was having trouble making a complextro track I was working on sound good, so I looked for effects synths. Glitch popped up and I gave it a shot. Ever since, this has been so useful in my productions. It gives you so many options in one little synth, allowing you to make glitch-effects with ease.

These headphones are a definite must for studio work. Their accurate sound representation and driver size allow for you to really mix in those low-frequencies that you wouldn't hear on your typical daily set of headphones. The comfort is also great, with some slight ear pains from time to time, but no major issue. All in all, a excellent set of headphones.

I absolutely love this program. Audacity has allowed me to do so many things with audio, ranging from simple audio bit-rate conversion to complete audio manipulation on the fly. It is definitely a must-get!

I had gone out to Guitar Center where you can test out various studio monitors before deciding to purchase this one. Compared to the KRK Rokit 5s and the Yamaha HS5s, these were the best bang for my buck. The KRKs had more bass but lack a balanced mid-range and felt like the mids were scooped, meanwhile, the Yamaha HS5s definitely had a lot of clarity, but the lack of low-end is what made it difficult to choose them. I would've gotten the HS8s but for the budget I had, the JBLs were perfect. The sound is great and they are very useful in the studio.

This is an excellent microphone, and it's definitely one to be recommend. Record clear vocals or clean instruments with ease as this mic will pick it up in high-definition clarity. Works great for vocal resampling too :)

This is a very old MIDI keyboard that my dad had in the 90s. For me it's been very useful; both as a MIDI controller and a MIDI Keyboard for drafting. It is much older however, and requires a MIDI to USB cable for its connection to the PC or Mac. It also doesn't have weighted keys, but is still useful for electronic productions.
