Any of you Europeans got Eurovision plans

Ohh the campest time of year. Its a crime not to watch, even though the quality of music is lower than the chances of a Bernie Sanders presidency.

Thanks for ruining Bernie's dreams, though... My favourites are Georgia, of course, and many rock lovers would consider Georgia as a possible winner. Too bad Eurovision has a lot of generic stuff going on.

If you ever consider Georgia, look at 2:06 for his setup, but I don't think those are real pedals, could be replicas depending on how weird they look. Whammy, POG2, Synth, Wah...madferit! I don't like Croatia (my country) on the Eurovision this year...but I hope for a good place, considering those Croatian dickheads of a songwriters basically blocked her entry because German songwriters wrote the Croatian entry.

Haha funny, I thought you'd see that. Yeah idk about hte ones he used live yesterday, but if you watch the performance from February he has a legit board, andI think its a dd7 hes manipulating.

The second last place for the Germany in a row. Seems like it can't get any worse. I hated them all. Yeah, Georgia had a rockband but they weren't good either. I don't get why I'm watching this bullshit every single year.

Oh, they've won the last place last year? Haven't noticed that. I fancied Lena a lot when she won with "Satellite", and I also liked the Nicole, and Walter Schwarz, who was there back in the 1950's, I think. It is bullshit, but still, I watch it for 13 years, and why not now? I really like Zdob si Zdub in previous entries and Lovebugs back in 2009...they were for Switzerland, but vocals fucked up seriously - probably the reason song didn't won...

Yeah, Lena was on point when she won it. But she was also a bit annoying. I hate Russias acts almost every year. There's always so much money wasted on something totally tasteless. I didn't like this whole video-screen-animation-crap this year. Some years ago Germany sent "Texas Lightning". Remember them? Their song "No no never" is still in my head. And they were at least a bit ironic. That's one of the main problems of the contest I guess. Most of the eastern European countries seem to share a certain lack of irony and taste when choosing their contestants. Too many pianos gone up in flames, to many dresses with wings and far to many stupid background dancers were presented over the years.

The best thing that ever happened to Germany on such contests is Stefan Raab...he hosted fuckin' awesome shows, knows how to play guitar pretty well, and he also finshed 5th in 2000 song contest! I love this guy, he's so awesome! You must check Croatia's entries. We've sent almost everything on Eurovision, and almost everything sucked major arse, or as our 2013 entry says : "Mižerja", which literally means misery on dalmatian croatian. Of course, check out Ruslana's 2005 entry, Ukraine's Verka Serduchka (2008 I think), and Jedward (OK, that's not eastern, but still...)

You are such a nerd for knowing Stefan Raab. He also wrote our entries "Guildo Horn" and "Max Mutzke" and recently "Roman Lob", but he quit afterwards. After the loss on Saturday the yellow press is begging him to return but with last year's ending he left the media completely.

I liked Jedward even if I don't know why. Even the Olson Brothers with their stupid Ovation guitars were kinda good. Ruslana entered to contest for about 16 times, right?

Ai shi riki taj shi riki dan...E! This Ruslana shite goes on and on in my head. Why am I a nerd? He is an awesome guy and Croatia loves him and describe him as "a wacky genius which did the best job hosting the ESC in like EVAAAAA!" It isn't weird that I know him. Croatia knows him.

I was pretty sure that nobody outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland knows him. Yeah he hosted this thing. Just remember the opening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6RrucYLJag

Besides guitar he is a pretty good drummer, ukulele player and...I think he plays a lot of instruments on a pro level. He composed a lot of tv-jingles as well.

I KNOW...I KNOW HE PLAYED THE ESC INTRO ON GUITAR SOMEWHERE, BUT I CAN'T FIND IT.

I know he is controversial, though.

there's something really creepy about that guy... in the USA these days they would never let a guy that skeevey host a TV special. But its super cool that they let this creepy mofo on TV in Europe. You guys have way more style than we do...

German television has often been strange to americans. Just ask Tom Hanks.

But that guy had a late night show for almost 15 years and he's pretty famous around here. After all he's much more of a comedian than a real host.

Dude, your country's info/entertainment is killer. Your TV stations produce some exceptional historical documentaries with a slightly different slant than American and British docs on similar subject matter. I wish I spoke your language so I didn't have to search for dubbed or subtitled versions, but I can only follow romance languages and then not very well since my 2nd language is Latin.

Like Scandinavian film, German TV is always blowing my American mind. What you guys class as mainstream media is of such a higher quality than American network TV and studio filmmaking
