Cleaning up the "needs review" for submissions

Come on man... you know as well as i do that the entire music industry has very little to do with "talent" and more so with "image" or something they can sell. I personally think that VERY few talented Musicians actually get the chance to make it to the big time. One reason I admired Bowie, TALENT! But HE took it about further and sold his "persona" to the world. Constantly reinvented himself! Look at all the jackass BS that on TV and the air today IE: Britney Spears, Kanye, lilwayne...those guys are the big time. And in my opinion they're talent IS NOT music. Is selling a product ( as terrible as it is IMO). So please... don't even refer to yourself or even think i was referring to you as washed up! Life happens! I think Its about timing as well as luck. There's plenty of us older guys out there that know our way around the studio, and on stage. For me personally, I hope some of these younger guys that we record, make friends, and help with producing their sound make it to where you and I wanted ( and probably deserved to be) Bowie Status! Now that would make me smile!

and at what point will I be able to get away with wearing a pink Mohawk again? 'cuz I am a Bowie fan and totally get 'image' as a huge, component of popular music (because, lets face it, for a long time music has had a huge theatrical component that shouldn't be overlooked, though nor should the music)

Oh, I'm sorry for being dick-ish at times, I'm really sorry. I'm not a bitter and washed up musician, I'm just a regular boy who tries to make this site better, but I never meant to hurt anyone or something like that. I sometimes get frustrated with false submissions, but I never meant to be a bitch. I am sincerely sorry.

I don't think he was aiming at you and there's certainly nothing wrong with justified criticism.

I'd love to throw myself into this arena. Count me in for consideration as a moderator. Besides myself, I see Jim, Walrus, Ridwan, Lex (who are all on this thread) as well as Luxiu. Let me know if I missed anyone. And as for bitterness and such, let it be known that I only count people that don't respond to comments and REPEATEDLY make mistakes as the people on my black list. If anything, I've come to realise I can do nothing more than to mark their mistakes and walk away.

I guess i'm starting to calm down a bit. Time to really tone it down and quit my bitching. :D

But moderating? What fun that'll be, knowing that this site can be completely refurbished with plenty of eager help from friends on the site. I'd love to work with you guys/

On a side note, Ridwan, would you please remember to add full stops after your sentences? It's a bit of a problem on your submissions.

Right right! I just don't like seeing people being demeaned because they have a difference in opinion. Live and let live. I wasn't pointing out anyone. It was just a general statement to the moderators more or less. I love talking about gear. But ill never ram my opinion down anyones throat. Because what works and sounds great to me may sound like mariachi music coming through a toaster to you. Generally speaking of corse. ;O)

Dude.. I really wasn't referring to anyone specifically. But as we all read through old posts and such you can tell who the A**holes are. All you have to do is read. It would really suck if anyone wanted to ask a question about specs on a specific piece of gear and Didn't because some jerk was ready to mow them down with crappy comments and a whole lot of attitude. I actually really like Equipboard. I'd hate for it to go to crap.

Ah, I was referring to when I respond to people who make crap submissions. Forums, well that's for you lot to judge.
