Equipment I Once Had

seems crazy but people may want to know how I do what I do in a corner of my son's playroom.... maybe you have a point!

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Well, fwiw, I like the idea of adding the option "I owned it" to the list of "I have it" and "I want it". May not make sense for Keith Richards, but it would make sense for me. :)

there's a lot of us below Keef level who still have owned tons of stuff

Ok, and wouldn't that make an "archive", or "used to have" checkbox even more valuable for folks like you? It would if I were in that position... :)

For me, I could envision something super cool like, below each section, be it for an artist or just a joe like me, a radio button where you could select "Current" or "All". That way, seeing all the pedals I've owned would be easy, but if someone wanted to see what was on my board right now, they could see that too. (ok, only I would care about that, but I think lots of users would find that nice). Obviously, this would mean that for every item I have, there is another checkbox for "used to have". That way, it is still in my list of stuff, I can just choose whether it is displayed or not.

I try to list as much as I can, within reason, so that I can attempt to keep track of it all. For tax reasons, for my personal interest reasons, scrapbooking, call it what you will. Somebody recently donated a drum set and accessories to my summer camp program. I listed the drums, but am not planning to go through each piece of hardware. The logos on the cymbals are all worn off, but even if they weren't, I probably wouldn't bother with that level of minutia. Like others have said, the stuff I use definitely gets listed. Stuff I have found useful, like Cable Cuffs, will get listed because I hope other players will also find them useful and maybe make their endeavors slightly more enjoyable. But I'm not going to list the hi-hat stand, the kick pedal, etc. since I'm not even a drummer! LOL All my guitar FX get listed because in a way, they are like little instruments. The main programs I use get listed, again, because I find them useful. All within reason.

...Not sure this is a good idea... Quest Atak 2 provided to me by a bandmate who decided that my telecaster copy was better suited as his telecaster copy. Some kind of unauthorised exchange system....

I am imagining how much more of my time I will be spending on EB trying to add everything I've ever owned if this ever comes to pass....
