Gear photos are back

... and better than ever. They're now the first thing you see on your own and other members' profiles.

(If you've uploaded gear photos before and they are showing up as a white square, don't panic, they're just being re-processed and will be back to normal shortly)

One addition we've made is to be able to bring in gear photos from your Instagram account. We realize you might already have shared some really great gear pics on Insta, so simply by using the photo's links they can quickly be added to your profile.

So, what's next? It's really fun and inspiring to look through people's setups, so it makes sense to add more exposure to this feature.

E.g. If you have a Tube Screamer or a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S49, it makes sense to be able to "tag" those things in your photo, which will make the photo appear on those gear pages.

Congratulations! I'm excited to try this out, but.... oy I have so much cleaning to do in my studio area now, so much... I just tell people "don't look over there, with all the keyboards"... and generally, they don't. ｡^‿^｡

how do we delete them, I added a couple photos I want to delete

See the little edit icon next to your photos? Click that and delete will be one of the options.

The gear gallery is back! Sorted by newest by default, so the same photos don't stay at the top for too long and get all the action.

Also sortable by most upvoted, and most commented.

Suggestion: Maybe make a page for gear photos too? We already got the "Explore", "Add", "Gear Guides", and "Forum" buttons why not make a "Gear Photos" or "Gear Pics" button too?

In the nav there is now a link to Community Gear Photos.

If you've been on Equipboard for a while you'll know we are transitioning to a new look and feel, so that link is in a slightly different place depending where you are 🤦🏻‍♂️ Sorry about that we'll have it fully transitioned in the coming weeks/months.

this feature is so great.... I can finally catch up on cool gear photos I've missed! Having a blast with this.

I could lose my whole day doing this.... actually I'm just hovering by the door waiting for my Juno6 because I need to sign for it. But this is killing some time!
