Idea: Be able to tag photos with link to the gear

Just like Facebook, except clicking the tag takes you to the page for that gear. Would help on some of the more obscure pedals and things a lot of people have.

I can't see your profile (it's set to private), but I know what you're talking about. And yeah, that'd be a pretty cool feature.

We've tossed around the idea of letting people tag their gear setup photos as a way of adding items to their boards. With photos tagged, we'd be able to show gear setup photos on relevant item pages. I think that could be an interesting.

Would love to hear what other people think about tagging photos.

This is a really good idea. Users should be able to upload Gear Setup photos to artist pages and then when they tag stuff, it appears on the artists's profile page if its not on there already.

Also, just generally letting people tag gear photos with the actual gear would make the photos very rich and interesting. Imagine using those tags to then generate "Similar gear photos", which would be other gear photos that have some of the same stuff. That'd be fun. Click click click.
