Identifying the gear

I hate how many different acoustics Takamine makes, it's a damn chore to look through all that sexiness. I think it might be a TF341DLX but because the cameraman has such a hard on for Billy and shot it with a damn potato, I can't tell for sure.

Yes, the balding man with sunburst or whatever finish guitar with single coils, standing centre stage. If any of you know what guitar that is, I'd sorely appreciate your input.

It's Billie, you silly! Sorry, I have to correct basically everybody who says Billy, as someone who, as I previously said, have been listening to Green Day for almost 10 years now, wow...

Anyway, the balding guy constantly keeps moving, but I identified the model. I can tell that is Ibanez Talman TC530 GFA with some tape on it.

Do you guys know what Zach Rogue plays here? Is that a D-18?

That is Martin D-15, with pickguard possibly switched, considering some Martin D-15 models come with pearl pickguard. But yeah, I think that is Martin D-15.

I got confused by the binding. I can't find one with white binding and the finish looks some how different than these normal natural D-15 ones.

Zach Rogue has some taste. I can't even figure out the brand on this one: https://showbams.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/rogue-wave9.jpg

Edit: It says "Sebring". Never heard of before.

Bonus, that pickup is an M1 Series acoustic pickup made by L. R. Baggs. It's an add-on by Zach, as very few luthiers add magnetic pickups to their acoustic guitars.

By the way, here's a tricky one. You'll need a good ear for this:

Starting at 0:30, how may someone such as myself achieve such an overdriven sound?

This sounds a lot like st. Vincent and Jack White crossover tone. Here, you would need a Boss CS3 maybe, Big Muff Pi for sure and maybe an overdrive pedal like an Boss od-1. I could be wrong, but that is a good mixture of overdrive, fuzz and compression sustain.

Can somebody help me with this one?

I'm pretty sure this is a Gretsch 6120 but I can't figure out the exact model. What makes it difficult is the headstock. Anyone familiar with those Gretschs?

It's almost identical to the normal 6120 without pickguard.

Yeah, solved this issue with the help of the Gretsch Community. It's a G6120SSLVO. I can sleep now.

Would it be stupid if I said that guitar looks huge?

No, you'd be perfectly reasonable.

hollow bodies and semi hollows look big on anyone of slight build.. if I weren't around the 6' mark I would look really foolish with my lawsuit 335 being pretty skinny for a dude... so most women get dwarfed by full size archtops (most of them), 335 sized semis and guild/Gibson jumbos... and obviously the big archies like the super400, byrdland etc... but they are not really as big as all that. they just look huge standing up, particularly if you're a slim lady (and lets face it, most musicians are slim because food costs money)... I briefly owned a similar chet atkins fully hollow guitar (practically a loan I returned it so fast) and it was nothing compared to a full size Guild or Gibson jazz box. Not as deep and not as big overall around the body profile. Very comfortable. I was just unable to keep it for financial reasons (they are pricey and not particularly versatile, though great).

I played in a band with 5' tall, 100;bs brunette on vocals.... I will see if I can find any pics of her with her guild jumbo... its so funny

LOL! Never a dull day with this guy. I'm more of a keyboardist, gf and a few close friends play guitar though

I have done some Chris Isaak gear recently and found this one: http://pbs.twimg.com/media/CaW8I42WEAAuiUs.jpg:large

Yes. This is Gibson B-25 3/4 model, this is actually vintage guitar. Shame he put stickers on it...

True! Thanks buddy! He's Chris Isaak, he's putting stickers on everything. In an interview he said he wouldn't touch the neck at least so that if he's dead somebody can just rip off those damn things and let the guitar continue.

I'm not that good when it comes to amps. Maybe someone wiser could take on The Decemberists. They deserve it.

I see Orange head (it looks to me like a Custom Shop 50, but not sure), Orange PPC212 cabinet, Dr Z 2x12 cabinet is certainly the red cabinet, at the top, there is some kind of Fishman amp, most likely a Loudbox. Those two boxes next to it are likely to be Fishman Aura Spectrum. Below those, there is Fender Tremolux head. And that's all I know.
