KRK Rokit 6 crackling
My 6 year old rockets developed a crackling on initial power up ... This would stop after about 30 Mts ... Hardly ideal ... However I found the most useful and easy fix .. Step by step and even I could do it ...

I have removed the back panel of the unit and I immediatly saw the burnt 2k2k ohm resistor .. Although the capacitors look to be ok I am going to replace them in both speakers anyway ... I am waiting on the components arriving from amazon . I shall let you know once I have replaced them .. I don't think a bad batch of resistors is that uncommon ?? Russell Laing .
I had to wait for a while on the resistors being delivered ... Culprit 2k2 resistor .... Repair complete ... :)
