Ha Ha bit of an exaggeration possibly ... Like the cliche says though " all that can hinder you is your own imagination " I use it all the time despite my want to try something else ... Vital for experimental electronic dabbling
I have neither the intelligence nor the patience to fully realise the abilities of this program . The forum frightens me as it is full of clever people and real engineers by the looks of it ... Don't let me put you off !!! I spark it up push buttons wildly and generate whatever noises appeal at times ... Its fun for a serendipity merchant such as I . The manual leaves me defeated and really highlights my low attention span ... I do love it though but its not an instant rush ... Im so lazy ha ha
I can get lost in this program for days ... Like n aural Maze that you don't particularly want to escape from ..... Well apart from to eat and sleep I guess . :) Fantastic
Well what can I say ... This program good for random generation of ambient Midi . It can be used to generate audio or midi . This midi can trigger vst's within the DAW of your choice .. I use cubase and choose the Midi channels I want to trigger whatever vst instruments I want . Later I can edit alter scramble loop , transpose , reverse , alter tempo etc etc to my hearts content .... I am not sure how many have clocked on to this ??? It may be open to debate as to the validity of an artists work once a piece has been created .... I think it may be considered in the " If your not cheating your not trying " bracket ha ha . Anyways I think it noteworthy enough for an inclusion . Russell :)
depending on what kind of sound you apply this too the results can be beautiful or unlistenable . however that is more a criticism of my noises than the app . It is uber fun . Russell :)
This may or may now appeal ?? I think it enabling in the way you can actualise the vague and transient ... Compositional tool ... Head opener ... R :)
I try and avoid the very clever and complex presets as they are addictive and I would certainly misuse ha ha ... Along with my selection of noise mangling apps this site proudly amongst . Russell :)
Sub woofer must ... You want that feel it, can't define it vibe without getting bogged down in the mud ?? This is the shit etc :) R
Don't ask me how it works but it makes everything sound better ... use it on anything and everything ... Great for exposing my dodgy mid to hi freeque's deficiancy R : )
Crossgrade from Cubase 11 .. Initial impressions ... Learning Curve ... fascinated by Dolby Atmos and Inverse ... A more powerful version of Cubase ... R :)
Other Gear 16
never looked back on investing in this do everything interface
I needed a house bass . Saw this on eBay ... Cheap and very VFM .... Love it practical and hardy
Most of the work I do these days done in the box with no actual wood and metal involved ... However I collaborate online and get requests to play on trax ... The guitar bores me at times and I find it limiting I do use it for creating ANALOG 2 DIGITAL MIDI Triggers and stuff ... My other schitso half disagrees and cranks out a riff or two ha ha . Sentimentally I still love my 76 Strat ...... Beaten and abused by myself and one particular ex wife it still plays just fine :)
On rare occasions I do warble ... Thes are perfectly sufficient for me . I don't really like mixing on headphones but late night sessions I ?? needs must
my first pair of pro monitors . These shocked me when I first got them as I had to reevaluate everything I had done !!! Not a lot of bass on account of size . They told me of my tendency to wanting to boost all the mid to high frequencies .... I still use them to give me a general flat response feel ...
My ears are well shot what with working on construction sites and factories for most of my life .... These seem to give me a brutal , honest and clear glass mirror image / interpretation of what ever I am working on at the time
I always seem to start a bit of a riot when I mention these with the gear head nerds and those with more money than common sense ... Considering that at least probably half the world listen on these little , unique in my opinion , beasties.... I reckon if your stuff doesn't sound good on these then you really are not doing yourself any favours ... Iv bought expensive buds and esoteric rave review buds .. absolute bought and sold piffle ... These are unbeatable as a reference :) There IMHO Iv said it ha ha R :)
Much in the same way we know that most listeners hear their music via iPods and bluetooth speakers , to me , this item is a revelation . Cheap as chips and uber useful for hearing how the world may hear your noises ... Its also great for not annoying other people in the household or neighbours etc .... No it is not branded as a professional product .. It should be ha ha . Russell :)
Cheap as ... Good for me as all I need is to get a pre amp and analogue signal into my inter face .. nice little thing . R :)
This was soooo an object of desire . I knew what to expect ... Undaunted ... I got one and set up in mono ...When I first set up and listened to after my existing speaker set up I was very surprised ... In a good way ... Dipping toe into Dolby Atmos I was well aware that I was not sticking to the rules ha ha ... I don't like rules ... I listened to anything and everything. Underground and overground and found it very very sweet and pleasant to listen to .. I use to evaluate every thing I do ... My ears not the greatest I admit .. After bouncing down a stereo mix from my Yamaha + subwoofer set up I alway wait ten or so then listen on the Cube ... Any resonance or problems show up here ... Take out offending freeque's and Voila !!! I like it ...R :)
