OFF TOPIC

it began tis life as an off-Broadway that begat the film version when the fanbase turned out to be big enough for Miramax to finance a big budget movie.... I had my doubts because the film was great and I missed out on tis original run, but the show is better, you have to see it to get it

I just wish the touring company had had Neil Patrick Harris as Hedwig.... I haard he was great in NYC, but no big deal, the guy who played Hedwig in Philly was really good.

you know boom, I never woulda pegged you for a Hedwig fan

You should :) We talked about it before. I think there was a thread where we listed our favorite musicals.

I like Hedwig up until close to the end. Something about the ending isn't satisfying for me. When he walks out and sing to an imaginary Gnosis.

I like the small bits of .... I dunno what kind of humor it is. One of my favorite parts is when he's singing the end of the wig song. He sings his line, he looks down, he stamps out a light bulb for no reason, and then moves on. When I worked in the prison, there was an officer who used to sing the songs while we counted at night.

the end of the stage show is better, weirder, but better.... Hedwig becomes Tommy and Itzhak becomes Hedwig.... the girl who plays Hedwig is not only a really good comedic actress but one of the best singers I've heard in my life

A girl playing Hedwig? Doesn't that kind of hurt the story?

I like the idea of the Russian becoming Hedwig.

a girl playing Itzhak who is a man who finally becomes Hedwig when he/she get Hedwig's wig when he becomes Gnosis

well lucky you. i had KFC for dinner and my lead guitarist is passed out on my couch. he smells like jack daniels.

THERE'S A BOX OF PIZZA LYING IN MY KITCHEN

Noms on all the pizzas

I just woke up and ate a cold, uncooked box of Spinach Spanakopita. I'm half tempted to go to Whataburger and grab something. I just don't like waiting. They never have any food pre-cooked and some people might find that appealing. If I'm already eating at a place with a drive-thru window, I would prefer to just pick it up and go. But no, you have to wait 20 minutes at the window each time while they cook everything. Ballz.

sounds like a personal problem to me, Evil

seriously, I am getting old as fuck, I have a kid... I'm a widower. Some days I would trade my material comfort and possessions in to be 22 or 23 again even if it meant eating cold KFC with a whiskeyed up musician passed out on my sofa (although back then I was typically the guy passed out on my friend's sofa and it was a good day if all I had was jack daniels)

Anytime you wanna test that theory come couch surf with us. Think you'd manna kill yourself...slowly with booze and giggles... Kyja was chatting at work today with some folks who don't get out much. She rattled off a long list of restaurants for his anniversary. The guy said "Jesus! Do you ever eat at home?!". Kyja said "Of course...when I get take out."

We are children playing the all grown up game, Total farce. It kinda rules but I know this can't end well. Who cares tho.

forgive me for being crazy ignorant but this is your own account? Cuz I definitely got some strong opinions about my time in Minn. It was the the 1st place I got a job as an professional engineer (fuck yeah!) but also one of the toughest cultural adjustments I've ever made (fuckin' lame!). Crazy different from the West Coast.

side note but am I the only person who still gets the "updating our equipment ...check our Twitter" page when I try to check notifications? Been that way for months in Safari, Chrome, Firefox.. Running a MacBook Pro from Dec 2016...

Also, all I want is cheese curds now...look what you have done. Look at it!
