Sanity check - how'd this guitar get on here? (re: John Frusciante submission)

I just got notified of this John Frusciante submission. This cannot possibly be a guitar that's not on his page already... can it?

Also, how'd this guitar make it onto the site? Fender Stratocaster John Frusciante's Scratched 1962

Products are generally not supposed to have the artist's name in their title, unless it's a real signature piece. This is the type of guitar that litters our database.

Not blaming anyone, I just need a sanity check that this submission is a duplicate, and this guitar should be deleted... 🧐

I think you’re right, it looks like it got added with a bunch of others recently. In my opinion we should have some sort of lock on one off guitars and gear so they’re not submitted to duplicate artists, like the original Red Special or Frankenstrat, and their replicas as some sort of sub category. But Frus’ Strat isn’t a one off even if it has his unique wear pattern.

I feel like this is really just about gear IQ points. People are incentivized to do these things.

That's also true. Does anyone know if there's a page we can see all the recently added gear? I usually check the bar on the homepage for duplicates whenever I'm on here.

Waaa sorry I did add the Fender Stratocaster John Frusciante's Scratched 1962 for someone, ..... I did not know, filosofrog did let me know now, so only the origin Guitars without the Artist Name and I am better checking for Duplicates then. But I do not think , I did add one of the other ones. I can delete also Items , but only the ones I created, I can do it then too, just let me know, next time, thanks.
