I'll start:

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Hey Jim, I got this little bundle from my Secret Santa up in Seattle. Quite thoughtful IMO. The June-60 was on my wishlist, but the discovery of Seattle's own Tacocat was the real jem.

And I fail on posting images... :0(

GEAR:
  • Fender Chris Shiflett Telecaster Deluxe Electric Guitar
  • Roland Blues Cube Stage 60W
  • Blank slot

yeah shes a beauty great ser of keys right there !

I had trouble finding a june60 to try and wound up getting a waza dimension C for my sequential circuits (which ahs no oboard effects in true sequential fashion). How's the juno chrus as a standalone effect?

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

I like the June-60 for its simplicity. Given 3 possible settings, on/off is what you get. No knobs to turn. Just old school push buttons. The aesthetics are unique, dare I say 'quirky' at the least. The side rails are real wood, but the yellow plastic push buttons are where it jumps the tracks.

Tonally, the June-60 is not subtle: * Setting 1 is the "lightest" touch with depth at a longer cycle * Setting 2 flirts with rotary territory greater depth and faster cycles * Having both on results in an interesting clipping at the peaks while remaining musical

I'm a sucker for the Hammond rotary sound so setting 2 is my fave application with this pedal. EOD, the June is fun to play with, but she will not replace my Julia which has earned a coveted place on my board and is damn near always on.

Do I dare ask if that set of keys was a gift from an incredibly thoughtful someone? Its a spectacular addition either way.

The June-60 was a stellar suprise this year, but I tackled a theme of a "White Christmas" with fervor this year resulting in some 'highly personalized' bling, aka self-gifting.

(If i could figure out how to post an image... i would. but for now... I fail.)

GEAR:

  • Roland Blues Cube Stage 60W
  • Blank slot

yeah, no... I don't think that even when my wife was alive she woulda gifted me a top of the line VCO based polysynth for Christmas

y'know, its been so long since I touched a juno 6 or 60 I can't remember what the both buttons mode is supposed to sound like.

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Strictly speaking the Ryan Jarman sig Squier 'Musuar' (bottom) arrived before X-mas but was a combined birthday/Christmas present. Does that count? https://images.equipboard.com/uploads/gear_photo/image/6294/xl_20191204T131911.jpg

GEAR:
  • Epiphone Casino Coupe
  • Pignose "Legendary" 7-100
  • Hohner Marine Band 1896 Diatonic Harmonica

when's your birthday?

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard

Counts in my book! Those are good looking!

So the guitar is pretty rare and only came up on ebay at Easter. Unfortunately I had to dip into our holiday fund to get it. GF is like "But you already have a guitar!" and doesn't grasp how tangible things such as a trem bar and phase switching could possibly have any priority over lying sweating for a week on some Spanish beach. So it came with conditions... such as "If you're going to take this guitar thing seriously then you ought to have 'proper' lessons!" ...as if my own 'innate talent' wasn't enough - Fine! So hence the coloured dots all over my other guitar's neck. Also she claimed custody of it until my birthday in November. I've paid for that guitar in so many other ways...

Hah! Who hasn't heard the "you already have X!"? I actually give that GF of yours props for setting clear boundaries that likely place emphasis on your talent and interests. Funny thing is, I interpreted that demand not as a criticism of talent, rather supporting your passions. (Its easy to assume not being there.) Added bonus, learning new shit is the best jam of all regardless the context. Regardless, good looking guitars, dots and all.

...that and the fact it's 'Burgundy Mist' / "Oooh it's Pink!" was a persuasion point too but kind of means I only have joint custody now. She's been taking an interest in guitar too, now that she realises Rocksmith is something we can play together. You're right, and I'm pleased of course... ???? I suspect that Evan Dando may have had similar issues with his one... https://youtu.be/-S9O8Cmdoqg...

"But you already have a guitar!"

I know all of those words but they make absolutely no sense to me when arranged in that order...

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

"I already have a guitar but..." - Aha! Now the words begin to make sense... :-D

Counts in my book! Those are good looking!

Clearly Fender's marketing gurus have never been to Burgundy or they'd realise french mist is the same colour as any other; such a load of bull, laughed so hard I nearly choked on my wine! I would describe the finish as metallic lavender but then what do I know.

Should ever I become a luthier I'm truly inspired to create my own special finishes now... A light metallic grey could be Cornish Mizzle. How about a fine metallic mustard: London Smog?

Sometimes I simply want to relax after guitar and listen to a simple soundbar at the backyard. Thanks God I found one great bar model JBL Bar 5.1 recently. Found it here, on this website ( https://chooserator.com/compare-soundbars ) with all the explanations and options, detailed specifications. Compared with other models and I think it's better than any other.

Bit late to the party. But I'll go ahead and share anyway. Better late than never, right?

So that's a quick little three picture album. Contained therein is a Lotus/Morris L-400 Falcon and a Mid-2000s Fender MiM Strat. The Falcon is mid 1970s, fully stock, loaded with DiMarzio Super Distortions from the factory (I have confirmed that with DiMarzio, actually). Brass nut, brass bridge saddles, love it.

The Strat is a Strat. Love it. Looks as good as it sounds.
