Reviewed: TC Electronic JUNE-60 Chorus Pedal - Mixdown Magazine

mixdownmag.com.au

The TC Electronic June-60 Chorus Pedal is a solid homage to the iconic Juno chorus sound, delivering warm, lush tones thanks to its all-analogue design. Its retro aesthetics and dual chorus modes provide versatile options that can enhance both guitar and synth performances, making it a joy for vintage sound lovers. However, while it comes close to replicating the original Juno sound, purists may notice it's not an exact clone. Additionally, its bulkier size may surprise those expecting a more compact pedal. Still, for the price and performance, the June-60 stands out as a worthwhile investment for musicians seeking rich, analog chorus effects.

TC Electronic June-60

soundonsound.com

The TC Electronic June-60 Chorus Pedal channels vintage vibes with its striking design and warm, rich tones, perfect for guitarists seeking character over versatility. While it excels in creating a swirling mid-range chorus, its lack of adjustable depth and stereo input options may limit some users. However, the pedal’s budget-friendly price and unique tonal qualities make it an appealing choice for those wanting a retro-inspired sound. It's not a perfect replica of the Juno-60 chorus, but it certainly delivers a delightful, vintage vibe that could enhance many setups.

TC Electronic: June-60 analog chorus pedal | Tape Op Magazine | Longform candid interviews with music producers and audio engineers covering mixing, mastering, recording and music production.

tapeop.com

The TC Electronic June-60 Chorus Pedal brings the beloved analog bucket brigade sound of the Roland Juno series to a standalone format, offering a lush chorus effect for an unbeatable price under $50. While its bright tone and versatility are commendable, the single TRS output jack requires an adapter for stereo use, which may frustrate some users. Additionally, while it captures the essence of the Juno's chorus, it falls short on stereo imaging and rhythmic vibrato compared to the vintage model. Nonetheless, the June-60 excels in creating interesting soundscapes, making it a solid choice for musicians seeking affordability without sacrificing quality.

TC Electronic June-60 Pedal Review | Performer Mag

performermag.com

The TC Electronic June-60 Chorus Pedal captures the essence of vintage chorus sounds with its authentic Juno-inspired tones and a user-friendly design at an unbeatable price. While it excels in delivering lush and swirling textures, the lack of control parameters limits versatility, sticking closely to the original's all-or-nothing approach. Battery access can be a hassle, requiring a full disassembly, which may frustrate some users. However, for those seeking iconic chorus effects without breaking the bank, the June-60 is a fantastic option that’s hard to beat. Highly recommended for nostalgic guitarists!

Cheap and simple chorus that may work for you

It’s designed like Juno chorus but it’s not Juno. It has fast LFO rate that you cannot get rid of. There are two trim pots inside which can help you with LFO amplitube. I also be noticed that stereo has phase issue. I also don’t like how it boosts your signal which frustrates. Many of these problems weee fixed in v.2, so get second version, it’s better.

almost perfect sound. great visuals

the biggest analog chorus sound i've come across. the v1, however, is known for the overly-pronounced throb from the vibrato part of the signal. does a good leslie because of that, but i had to sell on due to the need of a more conventional chorus sound

proto_torvinen

Very nice

Great chorus sounds right out of the box! Very simple to use. No need for greater versality, if sounds are dialed as nice as this. Stylish. Seems sturdy. Only minus for some users might be the size: it has relatively big foot print comparared to most modern pedals - but who cares!

No nonsense usable chorus pedal

wether button 1, button 2, or both buttons are turned on, the tones on this chorus pedal are all very functional. You really can't go wrong for the price to performance ratio of this pedal

Great pedal.

Overall excellent chorus. Not the exact Juno 60 sound, but great none-the-less. I was so happy with it I made an audio demo :) https://youtu.be/CGGAsOiuWc8
