I really want to get a new effect pedal (probably overdrive or fuzz) but I don't want to go to wild with the cost. Any recommendations?

something around $200 would be ideal, but most the ones I'm looking at are around $350 (I'm saving up for a new fender telecaster and don't want to go overboard!)

If you're into Fuzz, check out anything from Stomp Under Foot. They make great-sounding clones of every flavor of Big Muff circuit ever made. I've got this one and just love it:

I own a Pigtronix Disnortion. You could find it on Ebay for less than $200. It comes with a Octava, a Fuzz and an Overdrive. Yes, those three in one single stompbox. The fuzz includes a knob that offers different tones and sounds. It really worth every dollar. Check it out:
