Sound Designers I need your help!

Hey Guys!

So I have just recently begun narrowing my audio skills into the film/television/gaming area's of sound design. Have completed a bachelors, soon to do masters (yes I'm well aware that experience way outweighs any paper) in Denmark because its free ha! Have spent the past 4 years travelling and working on different projects.

I am assuming the best way for me to enter into a serious working profession is to create the best portfolio that I can, but if anyone has any ideas for me to improve my skill's and the right way to put myself out there in this tough industry I'm all ears.

Currently working on building a small home studio and start working with young directors here in Copenhagen. All a working progress of course :)

Is you bachelors and masters in sound design? If so, I assume you'll have a fairly solid portfolio even if it's school projects for now.

Which area interests you more? Film? TV? Gaming? It seems like they are pretty different!

GEAR:
  • Fender Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar
  • Big Ear Pedals Woodcutter
  • HeadRush FRFR Go Portable Desktop Amplifier

Yeah hopefully going to be starting my MSc in 'Sound and Music Computing' in Copenhagen, should be pretty cool!

I did a few odd jobs with some young film makers in London and I enjoyed the hell out of it, so seems like a great direction to me. BUT beggars cant be choosers too ha
