Audioslave Reformation???

Is it official? I've been waiting for months, to find out!

Also anybody know when the walrus audio luminary comes out? Another pedal for me to binge watch on youtube, and constantly check prices of on ebay, then eventually not buy, because it's very overpriced.

What even is the Luminary? Sounds like a Slow Gear and funky octave pedal in one.

Audioslave are getting back together? thats news to me. Always preferred them to Soundgarden. Guessing Soundgarden are braking up again?

preferring audioslave to soundgarden is your right, but its also utter madness.... 1 word: badmotorfinger

no debate needed

Haha, don't get me wrong I LOVE soundgarden, used to have all their albums at one point before I moved house but I dunno, I just prefer Audioslave these days. Blasphemy I know

hold on while I summon the guys in white coats to your house to get you help

Haha, may help? never know

I've got to say that Soundgarden were the second best grunge band; Nirvana were overrated, and not actually that good, and Pearl Jam Alice in chains were a bit dull most of the time. Mudhoney were amazing, but only had that one song.

The best is undoubtedly the smashing pumpkins. They're amazing musicians, composers, and rockers, who can write beautiful, emotionally touching, ugly, and intricate pieces of music. (I've had dawn to dusk on repeat, for the last two hours though, so I could be slightly biased)

Yeah, I wouldn't put where you live on your info. The internet is full of strange, creepy, stalkers, and people who want to send medical attention to your house, though admittedly if you were to be looking to harass somebody online you probably wouldn't pick Equipboard, out of all the places you could.

I too am a huge Pumpkins fan (original pumpkins, I don't know what BC is up to now, but its lame). I don't know if I would call them a grunge band, especially during their strongest period (Siamese Dream and the double LP).... they ahd so much going on

are you familiar with Tad or the Melvins?

I was going to add the melvins, but got sidetracked. Not familiar with tad though.

There is definitely what I'd call grunge on the double LP, and slightly less on Siamese dream. Zero, BWBW, Muzzle.

really, you think those tracks ound 'grungey'? I mean, maybe. I am not the arbiter of grunge.... I think that's Neil Young. Or was he the godfather of grunge?

I'm no professor of grunge, but they seem to fit what my mental idea of grunge is, though by the sounds it's probably wrong.

I feel as if Tad is the epitome of grunge. They are as grungey as it gets, particularly their album "8 Way Santa"....

The luminary is essentially a boutique POG1, with the ability to save one preset, filter the attack (So yeah, a slow gear style effect), an envelopey filter thing and a flutter mode, vibrato thing. Looks so good, but I'll never be able to afford it. It's more expensive, and with less features than the POG2, but the sound quality is better.

The Luminary should be released after Christmas.
