I'm 5'5 and have tiny hands and my fender strat is too big for me. and if you're my size please never play a Flying V. those are about half my size.

get a jaguar?

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

id say a mustang and not the new ones either the squire vintage modified or an original spec, jag maybe a little big for you frame wise

is the jag really that bulky? I guess the body is pretty large being pretty much a JM with a shortscale neck.... I know that to me a mustang feels like a toy.... in a good way, but a toy nonetheless, microscopical little body 'n neck

Have to agree. Jag is short scale without LOOKING short scale.

GEAR:
  • Fender MIJ Jazzmaster JM62
  • Epiphone Dot
  • Electro-Harmonix Sovtek "Green Russian" Big Muff Pi V7C

i didn't even know jag guitars were short scale until now, because they look full scale.

oh yeah, same 24" scale as mustang

I thought the jag body weighed more then the jazz master body, and it is less off set so its a shorter body and a bit shallower contour cut

and its not an issue for me but I've heard and read people who say that jazzmasters and jags are too big for them size wise, i feel like they were probably strat and tele players. I know jazzmasters and jags are little bigger than strats but i didn't feel like they were too big or anything

My hands felt awfully large playing one and the difference in scale makes for a very slinky set of strings... and I love my Jazzmaster... but I do like the extra chrome on a Jag...

yeah, i like the slink on short scale guitars, they feel nice.
