I found a listing for this style of SG of dhgate, but i can't speak for the quality of said instruments, nor the ethicality of the production, as they come from china.

Also found one with a significant price drop (not cheap, but not a bad discount):

Otherwise, it's hard to find a quality white three pickup SG style guitar with a Vibrola for very cheap.

GEAR:
  • Vox AC15
  • Gibson ES 335 Studio Dirty Fingers Plus
  • Ernie Ball Power Slinky Guitar Strings (11-48)

Wow that one on Reverb's so sweet 😍

GEAR:

  • HeadRush FRFR Go Portable Desktop Amplifier

I would stay away from anything too cheap, SGs are tricky.... plus you're not faking the patina of a white SG that's seen some smokey clubs and rehearsals

Doesn't Harley-Benton make a White 3-Pickup SG sytle guitar?

GEAR:
  • Washburn T-24 Taurus Bass
  • Gibson EB-3
  • Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro Koa - Limited Edition

The version they have is pretty close, but it's missing the Vibrola. Cheapest version of the instrument i've seen so far, though.

I think that would work. With the money you would save from ordering a real one, you can order this guitar and then have a vibrola installed. You can do chrome to match the pickups in the guitar as is:

Or you can get the gold one if you'd like to get new pickups or pickup covers.

Is it possible to put a vibrola on without modification?

no, you have to drill a few holes and wire it into the control cavity to ground, but on a cheap guitar who cares.... I would have a pro luthier do it, its easy to mess up bigsby type installs, the control cavity hole is the easy one whereas the otehr mounting holes need to be perfect for optimal (I can't believe I used that word for vibrola) tuning stability, you may also want to consider a roller string tree or at least some graphtec tom saddles, at the elast upgrade the hardware to really good stuffalong with the vibrola and make sure the luthier deburrs the saddles THOROUGHLY... the work wll probably cost as much as the guitar LOL

Yeah, mods would definitely have to happen. I wasn't saying that he should put it on himself. But hopefully he would be able to find someone local who can do it at a reasonable price. I've never taken on that kind of project though so don't know how much it cost. Was just throwing that out as an option if it would cost less than getting the expensive guitar.
