I've tried many RATs. My favorite RAT-style pedal is the Ibanez Session Man SS10: thick distortion! In parallel setting, with the chorus turned down, you can get a clean blend, wich improves the attack.

Exactly, it has the Fat Cat circuit inside. I use the SS10 in parallel setting, with the chorus depth (internal trimpot) turned down and the chorus blend knob at 3 o'clock for a great clean blend. This way you get an awesome thick distortion, without losing the front end of the note.
