Wouldn't call Dave Mustaine a prick these days myself but Axl rose is a twat beyond words! In my opinion he's the biggest prick in the world. He beats women, started on Kurt and Courtney with their daughter at the mtv music awards because nirvana won best music video of the year or something and gnr didn't. He didn't tell Metallica where the pyros were laid out resulting in James Hetfield almost being burnt to death the throw a tantrum because his throat hurt causing a huge riot. There's plenty more to list about him

I'm going with Lou Reed. I know a guy who did FOH for Lou in the 70s and I can't even remember all the asshole things dave told me Lou did and said to his band and crew. He was a fucker. I understand he calmed down, but Lou was a pretty huge asshole in his heyday, like steal the change out of your pockets, miss the show because he's busy shooting up and write the crew bad paychecks at the end of the tour assholery. I remember in the 90s he said the Beatles were crap.... he was just a mouthy asshole at his best. At his worst he would steal your shoes and trade them for dope.

I don't, he's not that bad most of the time just can be a prick at times. One question do you eat pork? Or prawns? Prawns are a abomination in the bible and are mentioned like 3 times as much as homosexuality and pork like in the Quran is forbidden because the meat of a pig is seen as dirty etc.

I personally think religion is a pointless, I can understand it and all, I'm not religious but I also believe in a creator in a total different kind of sense. I think if you need a book to tell you how to be a good person, then there's a problem.

I'm not bashing you for being religious or bashing religions, they fascinate me and for the most part people who follow those religions are usually nice genuine people. I have respect for all religions and religious buildings and artifacts. I'm just not one to follow a religion

Amen to that! His lyrics were getting really Christian and cryptic on United Abominations but reading her his book a lot of light on Mustaine's beliefs. He picks the parts he likes, just the way Ellefson does.

Many places like the pyramids etc line up perfectly with the Orion constellation and there's also starmaps that are extremely accurate that are thousands of years old. I'm not saying we was created by alien beings pr what have you but its a lot more likely than chemicals creating life though scientists have discovered that under the right conditions that every 30 years chemicals gradually rearrange themselves into something that could potentially become a sinpke single celled life form and gradually evolve. Science can't tell us why things happen though, only why they do. Also if this stiff to do with heaven and hell is fake and all that why is that a Ouija can contact evil spirits and goods spirits alike. I know people who have done them and fucked up shit happened to them or they have been warned of an event etc. Very weird and qe will never know, personally I think that religious people should also strongly follow science because typically they go hand in hand and being religious ain't a excuse to be stupid. I have weird beliefs when it comes to religion and so on. I also refuse to believe we are alone in this universe and dream of the day humanity will roam amongst the stars and colonize planets like earth. Probably not in our life time though it is possible if governments are willing to invest enough money

Marilyn in reality (Brian warner) is just a pretty weird but normal dude and has kids etc. I think most of how he acts on stage and on camera etc is just a shock act. He tries to take unaccepted things like homosexuality, transgender, various other things too and shoves it in your face, least he used to anyway. I like his music and him as a person, if you watch him on the Osborne's where he knows them and isn't being made out to be a cunt etc he's quite down to earth to an extent

At this point its a living for him (and a good one at that). Who knows about the early days, but now hes a lot like Bowie (may the mighty one rest in peace) and Alice Cooper. Theres a character he plays on stage.

I have a lot I could say to both you limeys about religion versus atheism, but I wish we would keep stuff like this as well as politics completely off the site. People get really emotional about deeply held beliefs and are uninterested in the other viewpoint even if they are willing to read it over in an ostensibly friendly forum discussion. I always think we should imagine EB as a dinner party, so no religion or politics. That's why I tend to poke fun and/or skewer at both sides when these things come up. Whether there is a god or not if it weren't for religion there would be no spirituals and gospel music and in turn rock 'n roll would probably not exist and soul music definitely would not. Although we could say the same thing for slaveryin the USA. But anyway, as Jim you need to see the good in every historical situation....

I'm open to both sides of the debate, I'm neither atheist nor religious, I try hard not to offend religious people with my opinions, on things because as you said it is a sensitive matter, same with politics. I only discuss politics with people I know well, otherwise I just end up being called a lefty twat or something to that extent. I should try to avoid religious discussion on here more though.

Yea, his stage persona is totally different to who he is. He is a very intelligent man and used to be a journalist before starting a band so he knows how to get people ticking

My band once played a venue where Iggy Pop was performing as the headliner that evening. I remember him bitching back stage about not having a limo drive him to the airport! He kept saying something like "im not going in a fucking shuttle bus" or some crap.He was just yelling at the poor guy! I remember thinking he was a whiny little bitch. I thought he was beyond such BS. I guess some people have to be seen! OH and his performance sucked (IMHO). Hate to say... but I was there.
