Your Absurd Guitar Designs

I need to check submithub out. More work would be good... at least theoretically.

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Definitely! It's a pretty useful tool, for artists and others connected with the industry alike to connect. I'm not really sure of the process of applying as a sound engineer there, I just have an artist profile, but yeah it could potentially bring more work... I've also done session stuff on a couple of other artists' songs there

GEAR:
  • Jolana Iris
  • Jolana Vikomt Bass
  • Positive Grid Spark

is it just me or does not submithub sound like it caters to some sort of fetish clique? ⛓️ I'm scared to look!

GEAR:
  • Epiphone Casino Coupe
  • Pignose "Legendary" 7-100
  • Hohner Marine Band 1896 Diatonic Harmonica

I'm okay with that. Either way it caters to my lifestyle choices.

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6

Well, there's this ambitious project, a headless guitar based o the Atari logo.

GEAR:
  • Fender '62 Jaguar Reissue Electric Guitar
  • Hondo Paul Dean II
  • Fender Jaguar

Jazzcaster, Jazztang and jagcaster.

GEAR:
  • Blank
  • Boss BF-3 Flanger
  • Meteoro Demolidor FWB-20

Now the jazz and jag casters, which way round would you do them? Strat body with JM trem and the appropriate jazz/jag pickups or jazz/jag body with 3 single coils and a strat trem?

GEAR:
  • Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler
  • TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 Reverb
  • Blank slot

I have this Squier Ryan Jarman signature "MusUar" which is in essence an inverted JagStang

I'm on the lookout for a humbucker sized Jazzmaster style pickup to replace the lacklustre bridge HB.

With that done I think I could legitimately call it a JazzMusUar!

GEAR:
  • Epiphone Casino Coupe
  • Pignose "Legendary" 7-100
  • Hohner Marine Band 1896 Diatonic Harmonica

Thats tasty! I much prefer that over the Jagstang, I find that just looks a little too janky for me. I've not seen any HB sized wide range single coils on the market though, so good luck finding one! Drop me a line if you do!

GEAR:
  • Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler
  • TC Electronic Hall of Fame 2 Reverb
  • Blank slot

Jagstangs look too "smeared" to me and mess up my perception of perspective. I feel almost compelled to lie on the floor whenever I look at one! The Musuar at least can sit normally on a guitar stand.

Buddha USED to do HB sized JM style pickups but they've sadly been discontinued.

The closest thing I've seen recommended is the Bootstrap HB-90 Clean "Skookum-90". It's a low wound P90 with AlNiCo poles but it doesn't have same wide flat wind that I believe gives the Jazzmaster the distinctive woody bark that I like. At just £32 I was keen to try one out however the quoted £224.00 for UK P&P is just too absurd!
