Does it all
It's a Tele, and it sounds incredible. The neck pickup is clear. The tone boost sounds good in the middle position, similar to a P-90, but not quite as punchy. The biggest discrepancy from the Pro II from the Mexican made Player Series come in the feel of the neck and the pickup clarity.
The neck on this guitar feels infinitely smoother and more worn-in; I completely was blown away when comparing the two, and there was no going back. The pickups are also much more vintage on the American, while the Player Tele is quicker to get a little muddier and less clear. Depends on what you are going for, but the American is a far better guitar in my opinion. A great Tele!
