The best hot rodded Marshall there is
Forget for a minute, that this amp says "Slash" on front and back. This is one of the best sounding hot rodded classic Marshalls there is.
One channel with High or Low input and two different gain voicings make the AFD100 truly versatile and applicable to most settings. Looking for that classic Hard Rock tone with low end that gives you "the face"? Chuck in the AFD voicing and up the power. Clean sound? Roll back the volume on your guitar and you'll get those sweet Marshall cleans. Looking for more metal? Use the #34 voicing on crunch as a pedal platform (tip: try blending with the Diezel VH4 pedal, it's amazing) and get chugging.
Handy tools: an onboard hot-plate to play your favourite setting at any volume and self-biasing if those valves need changing (probably because you played hours and hours driving them to the max at non-ear-bleeding volume). FX-Loop is also onboard for that arena feel with the right reverb pedal.
Doesn't have to do anything with tone of course but that silver stainless steel plate with plexi-style casing is gorgeous to look at also. Marshall should truly do more steel/silver plates insted of gold. You could frame this thing if it wasn't so damn heavy.
Regardless whether you like Slash (or signature gear in general) or not - this is an amazing and versatile amp that I would recommend 10/10.
