A unique sound and feel
I never thought I would want a "reliced" instrument but I must say that this guitar just feels like home to hold and play. The worn neck and sides feel inviting and I find myself playing alot longer than intended during practice sessions. The TV Jones Filtertrons, the Okume body, and the Ebony fretboard make this a unique addition which I find fits nicely in that "between a Fender and Gibson" sound that Gretsch is known for.
My Main Playing Out Amp
I have had this amp over a year now and it has treated me well. It is a solid build and handles gigs very well. I'm a big fan of the Blackface Deluxe sound and wind up using the clean channel mostly with pedals. I replaced the stock speaker with a Tone Tubby Red Alnico recently and it really opens this amp up!!!
My Main Guitar for Performance and Recording
I have been using this guitar exclusively for the past year. I love the Bare Knuckle pickups and found the updated controls a less intimidating approach to embracing a Jaguar. I'm also a big fan of the mustang bridge....what i find most appealing about the sound if this guitar is what I like to call "the unsettledness" of this bridge....it adds an unpredictable "twang, wobbliness" for lack of better words that fits in with the sound I'm looking for
