Fantastic Pedal

This pedal is great to either rub two guitars into one signal flow and matching the volume, or to give your guitar a signal boost for a solo, or maybe in front of a pedal that drops in volume. When i first bought mine, i used it boost the volume on my BassVI and would switch off between that and one of my guitars. Now it stays on my chain to boost my Boss PH-3 that has a huge volume drop when engaged. Or to give my guitar a bit of boost and cut through the mix in a solo. The best part is that it has the Southampton Fifth gear Overdrive integrated in to the pedal. there is an internal trim pot that increases/decreases the amount of gain you get. Its engaged by a switch on the top of the pedal. Clean = no Fifth gear OD/Dirty = Fifth Gear Engaged and whatever you set the pot to is what you get. The pedal is always on, so if you are like me and always have a little bit of dirt, you may like this pedal.

A Dream Guitar!!!!

For me, Seeing Robert Smith of The Cure play the Vintage version of these... I just had to have one! The reissues come with Humbuckers, where as the originals used single coils similar to the Vistatones on the Supro Coronado guitars. But regardless, the guitar plays like a dream and has the wonderful piezo pickup in the bridge that is awesome and really different when you add the bridge pickup together! I wish it would have white knobs and switch tips like the original, but not a big deal, i have already bought replacements. I have two Airline guitars and i can tell you they make QUALITY products! this came brilliantly set up from the factory. a quick return and i was on my way! This guitar is hard to put down! Get one!

gorgeous guitar

So i bought this guitar when i was looking for a vintage Airline/Valco Map guitar that had the piezo pickup and rubber binding. This was to hold me over until i found the perfect one. I love the pickups, especially the piezo. It's one of the best that i have heard! I wish we could blend the two, but that isn't a huge deal...The Wilkinson humbuckers sound great! My only draw back is the very wide neck it has and the wide string spacing. Even though its fractions of an inch...i have to watch my playing and adjust. Other than that, great guitar! Just like the Supro Coronado, it has a fiberglass top and Mohagony back. So it has some weight to it.

Ge this guitar for the pickups alone!!!!

The Vistatone Single Coil pickups on this guitar are fantastic!!!! they are gritty and sound fantastic with a bit of overdrive! The fiberglass body gives it a cool tone characteristic, but doesn't lessen the weight any. But it doesn't matter, this is probably one of my favorite guitars to play on! The vibrato on it is really smooth. I just love digging in to it and getting that awesome crunch out of it. whether i play it our of my Marshall or Fender, it sounds fantastic!

Fun guitar!!!

This guitar has a slightly smaller scale, which makes it very easy to play. The emerald green looks amazing in person and on stage, and the pickups are fantastic! you have two stitches on the guitar. one as a pick up select and the other as a coil tap. while it isn't as customizable as the Ultra III, it still has tons of variety! Both pickups in single coil mode are great for surf and rockabilly and when they are switched in to full mode, it just adds a bit of midrange and beefiness to the guitar that you didn't know you were missing! i have a really hard time deciding how to play it. Split coil, or full pickup. The Bigsby on it is very subtle. if you want more of a dramatic effect, you really have to dive down on the bar. otherwise you can try adding a taller spring. and the rollrebrige does a great job of keeping it in tune.

Lots of tonal options

With the ability to have each mini humbucker either fully on, split coiled, or off, there are tons of possibilities for tone here! You can do pretty much anything with this guitar. It is a bit heavy, It has a very comfortable neck and is very easy to play. My favorite sewing is to have the bridge pickup on full bore, and have the neck pickup split. I'll throw the Middle pick up on every now and then to change it up. but thats usually my go to setting. It just depends on what the song needs. But you better believe this guitar can do it.
