Description

The Supro Coronado Vibrato is a brilliant fusion of vintage flair and modern innovation, capturing the essence of the iconic Supro sound while offering functionality for the contemporary guitarist. Drawing inspiration from Supro's historic res-o-glass designs, this semi-hollowbody electric guitar features a mahogany back topped with Acousti-glass. This unique combination not only delivers a swampy tone that thrives under distortion but also ensures a lightweight and resonant playing experience.

Equipped with dual Vistatone pickups, the Coronado Vibrato offers a growling, explosive tone with plenty of midrange punch. These pickups, originally crafted by Ralph Keller in the 1950s, are renowned for their clear, detailed sound that remains articulate even as you roll back the volume. The '50s-style wiring further enhances this clarity, allowing you to clean up your amplifier without losing sonic definition.

Craftsmanship is at the heart of the Coronado Vibrato, with a redesigned two-bolt neck joint that maximizes vibrational transfer, ensuring robust sustain and resonance. Its striking Art Deco stairstep tailpiece and rosewood bridge not only provide visual appeal but also contribute to its exceptional tonal quality. Whether you're drawn to its vintage charm or its sonic versatility, the Supro Coronado Vibrato is a guitar that promises to inspire and delight.

Key Features:

  • Classic Supro design with two Vistatone single-coil pickups
  • Acousti-glass top for a rich, swampy tone
  • Individual volume and tone controls for versatile sound shaping
  • '50s-style wiring scheme retains treble clarity at lower volumes
  • Redesigned two-bolt neck joint for improved sustain
  • Art Deco stairstep tailpiece and rosewood bridge

Ge this guitar for the pickups alone!!!!

The Vistatone Single Coil pickups on this guitar are fantastic!!!! they are gritty and sound fantastic with a bit of overdrive! The fiberglass body gives it a cool tone characteristic, but doesn't lessen the weight any. But it doesn't matter, this is probably one of my favorite guitars to play on! The vibrato on it is really smooth. I just love digging in to it and getting that awesome crunch out of it. whether i play it our of my Marshall or Fender, it sounds fantastic!
