the perfect heavy metal guitar
this was my first legit guitar after my First Act flying v. I loved it, but I disliked the EMG pickups because you can't play them clean, no matter what, the pickups were overdriven.

aside from the fretless jazz bass, one of the best squiers I have ever played
I love the controls, I love the neck, I loved just about everything, but I disliked how the strings jumped around in the saddle, and I disliked that using the vibrato resulted in it going extremely out of tune.

so pingy!
hoo boy, this "instrument" is the least musical "instrument" I own. Its extremely shrill notes sound terrible with hard plastic mallets, and dull and muted with rubber mallets. I have yet to find a circumstance in which I will bias to these over any other keyboard type instrument.

Perfect for the "Mac DeMarco shimmering vibrato" effect!
I love this pedal, however I wish the range knob worked deeper as a depth knob, and it requires its own power supply, but its very fun!

pretty cool little snare
It has an internal mute system that I really like. The only problem is that it's the same size as my second tom, and I lost the ring, so I had to put that one on it.

Amazing bass, lasts forever
super fun to play, great raspy tone, great look. My dad has the Lake Placid Blue one which he wants to trade for a Precision bass of the same color, which I am yet to understand. I love the Jazz bass, and I personally think it will always be superior.

one of the best instruments I own.
This thing plays like a dream. I seriously cannot understand how people look down on Squier as being cheap quality. The Vintage Modified line is their best yet. I wouldn't change anything on this bass if I could, other than the headstock logo, in which case the credits should go to Fender, considering the amazing quality! However, the Ebonol fretboard does wear down after a few years of playing it, even with flatwound strings. Eventually I might have to put a new neck on it, but I might just get a new bass entirely considering I dislike the sunburst.

I like this amp a lot (in theory)
this is my first decent sized amp. I got it used at a pawn store, and two of the knobs were missing. It worked perfectly in the store, but when I took it home, after a while the presets started to go haywire and switch effects back and forth on its own. I know that the amp is intended to have the knobs rotate with each preset sound, but after the first five or so times I play it, it goes crazy and switches the controls, which, after it stops, the effect in the desired control, or whichever one it lands on, doesn't work. For example, there's a setting called "Heavy Soul" that has a deep tremolo and overdrive effect, but when the amp goes crazy and switches all around by itself, it no longer has the tremolo effect and I just get this boring, kind of low quality fuzz sound thats way louder than what it was supposed to sound like. I've looked into it and I think its that dirt had gotten into the master data wheel, which causes it to jump from setting to setting. Anyway, if I find a way to switch it out, it should be cool. My favorite settings are "Cliffs", "Pink Brick", "Teen Grunge", and "Rhapsody". Guess what they sound like!

I love this guitar so much
I have it in Copper, which Fender recently did a lighter version of in their American Performer series. I bought it because at the time it was the most tonally equipped guitar, with 30+ settings. Nowadays I think the Kurt Cobain jaguar has it beat, but I'm too afraid to check. I love the s1 switching. I recommend buying one of the metal springs that fit in the hole of the arm so that it doesn't swing everywhere.
