Not exactly out of the box, but, with some minimal installation and configuration (with jack, which is useful to know, really useful) you'll have a great set up. http://dragly.org/2014/01/12/focusrite-scarlett-2i2-flawlessly-working-on-ubuntu-with-jack/ the install isn't too crazy.

Exact same set up here using a Focusrite Scarlet as an input.

Gosh no, if anything bigger. I want to combine concepts from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musique_concr%C3%A8te and create a Space Echo that can have matrix routing with different layers of tape with a few different CV style gates for passing along sync signals... I want to build something that works almost like one of those old Tascam 4 channel recorders but with the functionality of the space echo.

Anyone have any ideas on how to make a more modular Roland Space Echo? Furthermore, does anyone want to design it with me?
