A good amp with some flaws
A solid 1x15 combo amp, good for a beginner but will work for many gigs. Puts out 150 watts through a solid sounding 15 inch. I really like all the tones you can get through this combo but the weight and some small sound nuances put me off of it. Overall pretty good, but I would suggest shopping around for some other stuff before you decide.

Built like a tank
This Genz-Benz 4x10 is an incredibly solid cab, and the lowest tuned 4x10 i've ever heard. It plays lower then a 1x15 and has a faster response too. These cabs move an amazing amount of air and produce the sweetest sound. The cabinet itself is very solid, made in American like other Genz-Benz products. I highly recommend these cabinets to any bass player looking to step up their sound.

A solid bass but can be a pain to play.
The Epiphone Thunderbird is probably the best sounding bass in its price range. The pickups are very solid and give you a good bit of control. I find the tone control to be a tad bit lacking but the character of the pickups make up for this. Due to the offset body, this bass can be troublesome to play sitting down, but for the bassist just starting off, the sound it can produce is worth it.

A high quality and versatile bass
I have found the Jazz Bass to be very well built, playable right out of the box but really shines with some setup. Beautiful sound and tons of control with the pots. You can dial in a smooth Motown sound or a hard hitting classic rock all the way up to a hi-fi modern sound. The Jazz Bass is my go-to bass for any venue because I know that it can play any sound out there.
